BBC EastEnders Linda Carter’s death ‘sealed’ in Eve Unwin twist after shock discovery

Linda has been spiralling out of control with EastEnders fans convinced she may be killed off. But after scenes aired this Tuesday, her downfall appears imminent.

While Linda Carter continues to watch over her shoulder, Eve Unwin could unwillingly trigger a chain of events that could end in her death.

EastEnders viewers have been growing concerned for the Vic landlady played by Kellie Bright as her guilty conscience gets the best of her, months after Keanu Taylor’s murder.

A handful of Walford residents on the BBC One drama know about the grisly deed, including her own solicitor son Johnny but after Nish Panesar decided to take the blame for the crime, it appeared that the Six finally had a reprieve.

Unfortunately, Bernie Taylor’s (Clair Norris) recent return to Albert Square has pushed Linda over the edge and back to the bottle as she started drinking again. Meanwhile, Avani Gulati (Aaliyah James) dropped a bombshell on Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) by revealing her grandmother Suki (Balvinder Sopal) and Nish had received a wedding blessing.

This was enough to cause turmoil for Suki and Eve’s relationship, leading the latter to drown her sorrows in the Queen Vic moments later – where she found a devastated Bernie mourning for her brother Keanu, in the wake of Nish’s incarceration. And when Eve and Bernie wound up at the same table, Suki’s other half was finally told about her biggest secret yet.

Though Suki didn’t kill Keanu, she took part in the actions that helped cover up his murder, meaning that she’d likely be incarcerated herself for obstruction of justice. While Eve has spent her fair share of time behind bars, one theory could suggest that she may encourage Suki to throw Linda under the bus, to finally allow justice to be served while also sparing the businesswoman from a stint in prison.

Facing several years in prison for her own crimes, Linda could then be brought to the edge of despair and, to avoid comeuppance, unable to cope, she could end her own life around Christmas, around the same time of year her beloved husband Mick went missing.

Theories suggesting a death on Christmas Day have been rife on social media after filming for the soap’s festive episodes began in October. In exclusive photos showing the cast filming funeral scenes, Linda actress Kellie Bright was inconspicuously absent from the set of the long-running drama, hinting at the possibility it could be her funeral.

However, this could be a clever misdirection from the EastEnders production team, designed to keep viewers guessing. Last Christmas, Keanu Taylor was the unfortunate victim in ‘The Six’ storyline, with Linda stabbing him in the back with a carving fork.

In a bid to distract from the impending death, BBC bosses had Danny Walters, who portrayed Keanu, photographed at an airport and on set for another funeral scene – not his own. However, more snaps appeared to confirm Linda could be set for an on-screen death, as actress Maddy Hill was seen reprising the role of Linda’s daughter Nancy. But will Linda really die?
