Penny and Jack chilled to the bone by EastEnders ‘murder’ discovery
Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) and dad Jack (Scott Maslen) are set for a huge ‘murder’ shock in EastEnders next week.
As viewers of the BBC One soap know, almost instantly after Harry arrived in Walford he jumped into bed with Penny, something which Jack strongly disapproved of.
The two men later came to blows when Jack took Chelsea’s side after Penny was blamed for the club crush at Peggy’s.
Harry then decided to form a plot against the copper, using footage of the two fighting as blackmail.
Little does Jack know, Penny is firmly on board with the plan to bring him down – telling him to do whatever it takes to rinse her dad.
Furious at Harry’s actions, Jack did some digging and found that the new Mitchell family extension moved to the area from Dartford after Harry was blamed for the disappearance of his girlfriend Shireen.
He learnt that the once happy couple had a massive argument in front of several witnesses shortly before she vanished, and he was the last person to see her alive.
Penny later confronted Harry, though he insisted that he was innocent.
In upcoming scenes, Jack continues to try and discover more information on the case.
Elsewhere, Penny warns Harry about her dad’s meddling, but gets quite the shock when he threatens to expose her part in their plot if he doesn’t get off his case.
In response, she meets up with Shireen’s best mate Felicity in The Queen Vic, and is hopeful to get some concrete answers. Sadly, Felicity’s account of the events is enough to chill her to the bone.
Things quickly escalate, and Harry is bundled into the back of a police car – he’s been arrested for murder!
His mum Nicola (Laura Doddington) arrives in Albert Square, and demands to know what part the Brannings have played in his downfall.
As the week goes on, a new feud ignites in the area as Harry reels at Penny.
Should she be worried, and what really did happen to Shireen?
