Emmerdale’s Chas shock pregnancy ‘sealed’ as fans ‘work out’ real dad – and it’s not Liam
Emmerdale fans are convinced that Chas Dingle is pregnant - but they are also certain that Liam Cavanagh is not the father.
Emmerdale’s Chas Dingle, played by Lucy Pargeter, could be in for a surprise pregnancy plot twist, but viewers are convinced that Liam Cavanagh is not the father.
Chas has been a central character in the Dales since 2003 and has been involved in numerous major storylines on the ITV soap. Her life in the village has been filled with drama, from affairs to battling cancer.
Recently, she shared a passionate kiss with Liam (Jonny McPherson), who is currently in a relationship. Earlier this year, Chas and Liam had a brief romance during her fight with cancer, but he has since reconnected with his ex, Ella Forster (Paula Lane).
However, during a recent visit to the Dales, Liam cheated on Ella with Chas, leading to a heated exchange at the back of the pub.
Insisting she wouldn’t play second fiddle, Chas urged Liam to break up with Ella, which he did, leaving Ella devastated and puzzled.
In Monday’s episode (November 4), Chas and Liam agreed to keep their relationship under wraps. But in a potential shocking turn of events, fans believe Charity might be pregnant, adding another layer of intrigue as they suspect Liam is not the father, reports Leeds Live.
Speculation is rife on a Reddit thread about the future for soap characters Chas and Liam, with one user pondering: “Who thinks Chas is gonna pregnant with her and Liam’s baby lol.”
Another observer pointed out: “The actress is 47, still possible for her to still get pregnant but obviously decreasingly likely each year. Soap land is never one for scientific accuracy.” Concurrence came from another comment: “I think it’s very likely.”

Debate continues with some fans theorising that Liam might not be the father of the baby after all.
A curious fan proposes: “What if the dad is someone else though? ” To which another responds: “Paddy? That would be a huge twist. Maybe off-screen and drunk?” And a third chimed in: “Could do. Not sure if he would do that to Mandy though,” while yet another adds: “I would be so here for this!”
In conversation with Digital Spy earlier this year, Lucy Pargeter who portrays Chas opened up about her character’s tumultuous relationship with Liam, asserting: “I think she’s probably going back to what she knows because of the fear of going forward with somebody new.”
