A brand new Mitchell brings chaos and sends shockwaves through Walford in EastEnders
New Mitchell Nicola (Laura Doddington) is set to make a huge impression on the EastEnders residents next week.
The much-anticipated arrival of Teddy’s (Roland Manookian) ex-wife is finally upon us after being teased throughout October.
We first heard him speaking with son Harry (Elijah Holloway) about Nicola during their housewarming party, claiming that ‘you know who’ had been sniffing around their old house in Dartford.
Later, after being attacked by Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara), youngest of the new Mitchell clan Barney (Lewis Bridgeman) reached out to her after telling bestie Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) that Teddy considered his mum to be ‘trouble.’
In upcoming scenes, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) is determined to continue investigating the disappearance of Harry’s ex-girlfriend Shireen, convinced that he played a part in it.
Jack’s daughter Penny (Kitty Castledine) – who is still working against her dad after he turned his back on her – tips off Harry, and in turn he deals a threat.
Harry asserts that unless Jack lays off him, he’ll expose her part in their plot to bring him down. In a bid to take back control, Penny convinces Jack to let her meet Shireen’s friend Felicity and attempts to warn her off.
Instead, Felicity’s account of her pal’s vanishing chills her to the bone.
Later, Nicola arrives just as the police are arresting her son…
Teddy demands to know why his ex has turned up in Albert Square, with her insisting that she’d heard about their son’s predicament and wanted to help. She meets Penny and demands to know what part she’s played in his arrest.
Jack also wants to speak with her, demanding to know what she’s said to the Mitchells.
Soon, Teddy realises the impact she’s having on the locals and uses a big secret from her recent past to weaponise her.
As the week goes on, tensions continue to run high as Harry guns for Penny – forcing him to tell Jack some uncomfortable home truths. Elsewhere, Nicola continues to get under Teddy’s skin and takes a dislike to Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), who he’s been flirting with for months.

She’s also keen to get to know her estranged, extended family and introduces herself to Honey (Emma Barton), who would’ve been her sister-in-law. She then invites herself along to a lunch between Teddy and half-brother Billy (Perry Fenwick), taking the opportunity to make her one-time hubby squirm.
After finding herself somewhere to stay, she decides to stir things up even more!
When she overhears that Phil is going to sign over Peggy’s nightclub to Teddy, she corners him for a chat.
What game is Nicola playing?
