Emmerdale confirms who attacked Tom King – and it’s not a Dingle
Emmerdale spoilers follow for Monday’s (November 4) episode that is now available to view on ITVX. The episode in question will air on ITV1 on at 7:30pm.
Tom King (James Chase) begged Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) for help after being attacked outside the church – but not all was as it seemed.
Laurel was horrified to find the abuser bleeding from a head wound, having been hit with a branch, and she wasted little time in trying to call for an ambulance.
Tom, however, urged her not to, asking her to instead help him back home to Victoria Cottage. Jimmy (Nick Miles) was horrified to learn what had happened and vowed his allegiance to Tom once again, making it quite clear that he believes Sam Dingle (James Hooton) to be responsible.
Tom, as viewers know, is public enemy number one right now after the truth about the way he treated wife Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) came to light earlier this year.
Jimmy believes his nephew is innocent of the allegations but Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) knows full well that Tom is guilty and, determined to protect her children, she moved out of Victoria Cottage on Friday (November 1), much to the dismay of Jimmy.
The situation left Jimmy conflicted but, with Tom having been attacked on Monday, he made it quite clear that he was there to support him.
Little does he know, however, that Tom staged the whole thing to garner sympathy from his uncle – and anyone else who would listen – with his own solicitor Ollie (Alistair Toovey) having been the one to attack him.
Tom also faked the hate messages he’s been receiving online, in addition to throwing the brick at his own car.
The whole situation left Ollie with a second thoughts and thus he attempted to quit as Tom’s legal counsel. Tom, however, wasn’t pleased about such a thing and urged him to carry on and it became clear that the abuser has something over his so-called friend, which he’s using as leverage.
And that’s not at all as Tom urged Ollie to come up with a back-up plan – legal or otherwise – as he refuses to go to prison. The question is: just what does he have in mind? And will it work?
What’s more, will Jimmy work out that Tom staged his own attack?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX.
