Tom King attacks new victim as he’s humiliated in savage way in Emmerdale
The vile abuser has been turned on by almost the entire village - and someone wants him gone
EMMERDALE viewers will watch as Tom King is humiliated in the Dales as his vile behaviour comes to light.
In previous episodes on ITV, viewers watched as Tom was taken down to the police station for a fresh round of questioning following damning revelations from his own family.
With Nicole reporting the cruel side of Tom, and witnessing how scared her young stepson Carl is of him, he’s been questioned over his actions towards wife Belle.
Yet it could now be time for Tom to face some retribution as Emmerdale viewers will see a stunned Laurel Thomas when she discovers a bloodied Tom outside the church, claiming to have been attacked.
Yet when Laurel offers help, Tom refuses to go to A&E or the police station and, concerned for his nephew’s safety, Jimmy’s previous doubts quickly vanish as he reassures him of his support.
Jimmy accuses Samson Dingle of attacking Tom.
The next day, Tom’s sickened to realise that the ‘Guy’ being thrown on the bonfire has his likeness in what appears to be a joke from he rest of the village.
It’s tense at the bonfire as the villagers watch the Guy burn and when the Dingles each claim to be responsible for making the ‘Guy’, which only serves to make Tom angry.
An intimidated Tom loses his cool and takes it out on new partner Amelia Spencer.
Amelia has previously ignored warnings about the controlling and abusive side of Tom, choosing to believe her new partner instead.
In an interview with the Mirror, actress Daisy Campbell who plays Amelia explained that she was “very vulnerable” and being “manipulated”.
She said: “There’s a 10 year age gap between Amelia and Tom and she’s vulnerable.
“When I think of Amelia, she’s never happy, she’s always got sad storylines and she’s always very vulnerable.
“I think he’s got her where he wants her – she’s not seeing it right now because he’s an older man.”
She added: “She sees him as a man and someone who can protect her so she’s not really seeing that abusive side. I think he’s got to tread carefully because he doesn’t want to get Amelia to realise because Amelia’s the only one on his side right now.”
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
