Emmerdale enthusiasts reckon they’ve cracked it with the latest gossip a “deathbed confession” is set to send shockwaves through the ITV fave, leaving the notorious Dingle clan gobsmacked.
Moira Dingle’s been battling a benign brain tumour of late. Awaiting brain surgery, Moira has been using pills to control her symptoms – and making a living will in case her family have to turn off her life support.
But in the hospital, she was inches from confessing to Ruby about how she gave Emma Barton the deadly push over a cliff edge.
Armchair detectives at home have pieced together a plot twist: Moira might die after surgery – or at least think she’s dying – and could be about to blab her biggest secret. Now Ross Barton has returned to the Dales, fans think Moira could forget she ever told the truth – and risks someone else finding out.
Ross and his brother Pete are already clued up that Moira killed Emma – and not her son Adam – but in her addled state, she might not be aware, reports Leeds Live.
A bunch of sleuths hopped onto Facebook to throw around their wild speculations, with one eagle-eyed viewer posting: “My prediction is that Ross has come back in time for Moira to confess on her deathbed that she killed Emma.”
Other superfans were quick to pipe up with: “Both Ross and Pete know Moira killed Emma,” while there was also a nudge-nudge post that went: “She has already told Ross and Pete…”
One social media sleuth suggested: “Well as she is hallucinating about Emma Ross may trigger a confession, then she will have to deal with it after surgery.”
Meanwhile, another online commenter speculated: “It would be good if she accidentally tells someone who doesn’t know, thinking it’s Ross, and thinking she hasn’t already told him… Ruby would definitely use it against her I think.”
An optimistic fan penned their opinion: “Who says Moira dies? Yeah she’s having brain surgery but nothing to say that her character will die, people do survive this type of surgery even though it’s risky.”
Another speculates that the plot will thicken: “My thoughts as Emma was brought up a few weeks ago and Ross is back. I think it’s gonna come out somehow.”
