Emmerdale Spoilers: Debbie Dingle REFUSES To Attend Grandfather’s Funeral
Emmerdale Spoilers reveal that the Dingle family is about to face a shocker in the upcoming episodes. We already know that the iconic Zak Dingle recently passed on the soap, while he was still living in Scotland. The upcoming episodes feature an emotional funeral for the memorable man and a heartfelt sendoff from the entire Dingle clan.
However, this is Emmerdale we are talking about, and no event is ever complete without an extra dose of drama! The spoilers tease that an unexpected relative arrives at Zak Dingle’s funeral and shocks the family. Moreover, they cause a stir and make things a little difficult for the Dingles. Despite the tease, the spoilers say nothing about who this person is.
Although, in a recent chat with the media, actor Jeff Hordley ( Cain Dingle) revealed that the person is someone the audiences already know. This hint sparked much speculation that Charley Webb may return to reprise her role as Debbie Dingle for Zak’s special episode. However, it seems that’s not the case.
In a recent episode, Moira Dingle was seen telling her son Matty that Debbie won’t be returning to Weatherfield for Zak’s funeral. Furthermore, she explained that Debbie told Cain that she and Zak had grown very close during the time they lived together in Scotland. Thus, the icon’s sudden passing has left her devastated, and she would not be able to face his funeral.
Thus, she has decided to stay back in Scotland and remember Zak through the memories the Grandfather and granddaughter created together. “She’s told Cain that she can’t face it. She got so close to Zak while he was living there, she wants to remember him in her own way,” Moira stated.
