EastEnders fans ‘figure out’ the bizarre but genius truth about the Christmas death
EastEnders viewers have crafted an incredible theory surrounding the apparent death of Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).
Yesterday, new paparazzi photos emerged of former stars Maddy Hill and Danny Hatchard reprising their roles as Nancy and Lee Carter outside of a church.
We also saw Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) and Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) – and the family were attending a funeral.
Atop the white casket was a single pink rose, whilst Nancy could be seen wearing pink flamingo earrings – very similar to those that her mum wears.
Elaine was also decked in pink accessories, leading fans to believe that Linda could be on her way out of the BBC soap after 11 years this Christmas.
A cryptic Instagram post from Kellie Bright, where she is seen to be holding pottery with ‘THE END’ engraved inside of it, managed to further stir the pot.
What could this mean?! (Picture: Kellie Bright/Instagram)
Social media has – understandably – become awash with theories surrounding the event, with some suggesting that the event may be part of a bizarre flash forward sequence.
More specifically, an almost dream-like, Dickensian themed special episode.
Picture this: Linda wakes in the middle of the night and is handed three visions from her past, present and future. Very A Christmas Carol. The future could lead to her death, should her alcoholism continue to relapse.
‘Ohhh the theory of a flashforward to WHAT could happen if Linda doesnt stop drinking??? Like A Christmas Carol it takes her through her past, present and future….’ said Metro reader Jane.
Another fan said: ‘Got to be a flashforward or a dream if Linda doesn’t stop drinking.. Think Scrooge but with Linda idk.’
Since the apparent death of her husband Mick Carter (Danny Dyer), she has hit the bottle again. This was worsened when rapist Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) arrived in the Square, and she later murdered Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) in defence of her best pal Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).
It’s been quite the year for our Linda!
