Emmerdale’s Tom King Gets Ready to Commit the Unthinkable: Shocking Dark Scenes

Tom King comes dangerously close to committing murder in a dramatic turn of events. Tom’s violent streak resurfaces, and an unsuspecting character faces being seriously harmed—or worse.

It all kicks off when Tom sneaks into Moira Dingle’s home, desperate to retrieve his missing iPad. As viewers know, the police are after this device, as Tom’s wife, Belle Dingle, has reported him for domestic abuse. Belle previously attacked Tom with an axe in self-defense, and now she needs to prove her ordeal. There’s a crucial piece of evidence on the iPad—proof that Tom had been secretly recording Belle around the house without her knowledge.

In a panic to get the device back before it incriminates him, Tom considers going to extreme lengths, including murder, to cover his tracks. As he sneaks into Butler’s Farm, Matty Barton unexpectedly returns home, interrupting Tom’s plans. Hiding from sight, Tom waits for his chance to act. Matty falls asleep on the sofa, giving Tom the opportunity to retrieve the iPad. Just as Tom moves into action, Matty’s phone rings, waking him up. Moira asks Matty to look for her seizure journal, and he’s about to enter the room where Tom is hiding.

In a preview clip, we see Tom pick up a candlestick, ready to attack Matty as he approaches. Tom prepares to strike, seemingly ready to knock out—or even kill—Matty. However, Matty leaves the house, narrowly avoiding danger, and remains unaware of how close he came to a violent attack.

With Matty safe for now, Tom manages to retrieve his iPad, intending to destroy the evidence. But this isn’t the first time Tom has resorted to violence to cover his tracks. He previously left Vinnie Dingle for dead after hitting him over the head when Vinnie was close to discovering that Tom was stalking Belle through her phone. Although Vinnie survived, no one has ever found out what really happened that day.

But with Tom’s violent actions now happening more frequently, the question remains: how long until he strikes again, and will someone end up being killed for real?
