Laurel Thomas is going through terrible times at the moment on Emmerdale. Things started to fall off the tracks for her when she came face-to-face with her husband’s terrible reality. When she couldn’t come to terms with the kind of person Jai Sharma is, she asked for a divorce. Alas! The man decided to draw out the divorce endlessly and is putting her through so much distress over it.
In the hopes of finding a distraction from the traumatic divorce situation, Laurel Thomas busied herself with helping Vicar Charles Anderson and his mother Claudette organise the Harvest Fest for the village. Unfortunately, that too soon found a place in her list of stresses as she failed to find common ground with Charles and Claudette. The latter feels that Laurel’s ideas are absolutely “radical” and inappropriate.
Despite the fact that Charles and Laurel could not get on the same page over the Harvest Fest, they did get on the same page as far as mutual attraction is concerned. Emmerdale spoilers confirm that an argument between the duo took an intense turn and they ended up sharing a rather charged-up kiss.
Unfortunately, Laurel’s son walked in and caught her and Charles in the middle of a hookup. Thankfully, Laurel managed to convince him to keep it a secret. But when she learned of a lie that her son told about having sex with the older man John Sugden, she created quite a scene. In the aftermath, Arthur ended up blurting out about her and Charles in front of Jai Sharma.
In the upcoming episodes, a mortified Laurel decides to maintain distance from Charles by giving up her involvement in the Harvest Fest. But Charles is crestfallen to hear that she wants to back out. This is a clear indication that he is going to pursue her further. We may get at least one more hookup between them if not more.
But guess what one hookup can lead to? A pregnancy! Imagine what havoc it would cause if Laurel got pregnant with Charles. Jai’s anger will surely hit the roof!
