EastEnders airs cliffhanger return in early iPlayer release

EastEnders spoilers follow for Thursday’s BBC iPlayer episode (October 3), which hasn’t yet aired on TV.

EastEnders has aired a cliffhanger character return in the show’s latest episode.

This week, Bianca Jackson hatched a new plan to get Reiss Colwell to confess to Debbie’s murder using Freddie’s birdwatching microphone.

But she was caught in the act by Freddie, who later told Kat that he was worried about Bianca’s erratic behaviour.

Having run out of options, Kat decided to make a call, and reached out to Bianca’s ex-husband Ricky for help.

In today’s episode, Bianca woke up in her taco van, and as she continued to berate Freddie for messing up her plan, Kat urged her to drop her Reiss suspicions.

Bianca made it clear that she wasn’t done with Reiss, but Reiss fought back and demanded that she stay out of the way.

Freddie connected all of Bianca’s symptoms, and he suggested to her that she might have ADHD like him – though Bianca was adamant that this wasn’t the case.

Bianca had bigger priorities, and she turned up at the ‘Save Our Sonia’ meeting that Reiss was holding with a box of hi-vis jackets.

She had outlandish ideas to raise awareness of Sonia’s case, but the locals rejected her plans and told her she was being impulsive.

Escaping to the pub afterwards, she lashed out at Kojo for not understanding her order, and was asked to leave by his brother George.

Outside, after trying to flirt with Junior, Bianca tripped over and fell into a huge pile of bin bags with her box of Sonia merchandise.

But at that very moment, a mysterious figure arrived in Walford in a cab, tipping the driver and walking onto the Square.

As Bianca recovered from her fall, she looked up to see her estranged dad David Wicks standing before her, seeming shocked to see his daughter in such a bad way.

David’s scenes will air in next week’s episodes, but why is he back and what does he have to say to Bianca – and his ex, Cindy?

EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
