Kim’s most bizarre and low-key Emmerdale revenge ever revealed
Since 1989, Kim Tate (Claire King) has been providing Emmerdale viewers with some top notch revenge plans. But tonight, she took it to another level…
…and that level was a lot lower than usual.
In 1997, she allowed her family to believe she’d passed away – even though she’d fled to the Caribbean – and husband Frank (Norman Bowler) identified the body of a lookalike sex worker, believing it to be her.
When she returned, the shock caused him to have a fatal heart attack. As she watched him die, she told him: ‘You’re a dinosaur Frank – and you know what happened to them.’
She then checked whether he was breathing with her compact mirror, and reapplied her make-up.
Two years later, she knocked his son Chris (Peter Amory) out with a paperweight, before dragging him out of his wheelchair and jumping into a helicopter – watching on as he crawled across the floor to get to her.
This time however, current husband Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) got off a lot more lightly.
In recent scenes we’ve seen her revealed as his blackmailer, after discovering that he’d slept with ex-wife Rose Jackson (Christine Are Marco).
After demanding a serious amount of cash from him, she then led him to believe that she’d been kidnapped and buried alive in some woodland.
Later, things turned sour(dough) between Kim and Chris (Picture: ITV)
With an audio recording of her beneath the earth sounding out, he frantically began to dig away before being whacked with a shovel and being thrown into the grave himself.
When Will returned to Home Farm, cold-hearted Kim didn’t seem to care that he’d spent the night below ground, and the two came to loggerheads – with each of them vowing to get further revenge.
In tonight’s episode, the two strolled around their swanky kitchen, set to the tune of Billie Eilish’s top 10 hit Bad Guy.
Will was busy making a sandwich when he was called away to the door to retrieve a parcel. In a truly bizarre act of payback, Kim dropped a slice of his bread on the floor before digging her high heel into it.
Masking her damage with a slice of cheese, she watched on with a smug grin as he tucked into the sarnie.
Cruel! Evil!
Something tells us that she won’t stop here.
Later, we saw Will chat with Caleb Miligan (William Ash) – Frank’s long-lost son -about how they would plot against her. Caleb admitted that he had no ulterior motive to bring down Kim, and he would have to give him more of an incentive.
He wanted Jimmy King (Nick Miles) to sign over his half of the Haulage Business, so that he’d own the firm as a whole.
Unfortunately for Caleb, Jimmy was more than reluctant to let his livelihood go. Back at the pub, he implored Will to try harder.
After returning home, Kim continued to taunt her husband, but he warned that one day she’ll find herself crawling towards him, begging him to take her back.
Should she take note of his words, or is this water off a duck’s back for our Kim?
