While Emmerdale viewers know Tom has been abusing his spouse – both physically and mentally – most villagers are unaware of his twisted and vile behaviour.

Belle has bravely opened up to cousin Charity and older brother Cain about what she has endured these last few months.

The Dingle family have rallied around her since her revelation, but the King family are still in the dark about Tom’s actions.

Jimmy, Tom’s uncle, has remained loyal to his nephew as a consequence, and that is set to cause tension between him and Lydia.

And in upcoming Emmerdale scenes, Jimmy and Lydia bicker about the accusations against Tom.

Will the Dingle’s be able to get Jimmy to see the horrible truth about Tom?

Meanwhile, fans think Tom is a ‘dead man walking’ now Cain knows what he has done to his little sister.

Last week as he left Belle, Cain bumped into Tom on Main Street and no words were exchanged.

But with tension rising in the Dales, fans felt that Tom’s time was running out.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one viewer wrote: “Tom – you are now to experience what your own medicine tastes like lol.”

Another viewer said: “Tom might as well roll over and play dead with that look from cain.”

“Tom. Dead. Man. Walking. Brilliant,” said a third.

Another said: “Tom’s downfall officially starts here, messing with the Dingles? Otherwise known as signing his death warrant in other words. Totally s**t himself when Cain walked past, thinks he’s untouchable but he’s defo underestimating Mama bear Charity & protective Big Bro Cain.”

Another viewer said: “Nervous Tom? Well, you should be.”

Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.
