Emmerdale confirms major exit as barn goes up in flames in 22 pictures
The heat is on in Emmerdale next week, as confirmed in my new spoiler picture gallery, with the ITV soap set to put a number of lives in danger as a deadly blaze rips through a barn.
The fire in question is ignited shortly after Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is told by Caleb Milligan (William Ash) that he saw Moira (Natalie J Robb) kissing Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter).
Moira, as viewers know, has been behaving out of character as of late, with Cain left concerned about the reason why. He previously suspected that Nate and Moira had resumed their affair but Nate assured his dad that this isn’t the case.
Feeling betrayed after Caleb’s revelation, Cain doesn’t take the time to ask questions and therefore attacks Nate, who has only just recently reunited with Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh).
Nate professes his innocence but Tracy refuses to believe him, leaving the farmhand with little choice but to leave the village alone as he says goodbye to his beloved daughter Frankie.
Moira, meanwhile, slaps Cain upon realising that he punched Nate but, as a case of deja vu intrudes her thoughts, she retreats to the barn, where she comes face-to-face with a gloating Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly).
Ruby, however, soon changes her tune and starts to feel sorry for Moira, who becomes unresponsive to her insults. From Moira’s point of view, Ruby’s voice becomes that of Emma Barton’s.
Freaked out, she reaches for a shotgun and holds Ruby at gunpoint, locking the barn door. A shot is fired at the lightbulb in a bid to terrify Ruby but things soon get out of hand, with flames ensuing.
Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) sees the smoke coming from the barn and swiftly tries to get help, with both he and John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) attempting to enter the barn.
Cain, Caleb and Chas (Lucy Pargeter) are subsequently notified of the blaze and make their way to the farm but a huge explosion engulfs the barn.
Will anyone perish in the blaze? If so, who? Either way, it’s a week not to be missed!
Emmerdale airs these scenes between Monday, September 9 and Friday, September 13 at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
