Emmerdale is set to surprise viewers with a last-minute tweak to an episode featuring Cain and Moira Dingle.
In a nod to the thrilling Euros 2024 final between England and Spain on Sunday (July 14) in Berlin, the ITV soap has decided to inject a fresh scene into Monday’s show, reflecting the characters’ reactions to the nail-biting match from the night before.
Bosses broke the news on Friday (July 12 )revealing that they’ve opted to include a new segment in Monday’s (July 15) episode showcasing Cain, played by Jeff Hordley, and Moira, portrayed by Natalie J Robb, responding to the footballing drama.
The Emmerdale team isn’t just stopping at script changes; they’ve also rallied behind the England squad with heartfelt messages of encouragement.
This update comes amidst a flurry of disruptions for soap enthusiasts, as regular programming for Emmerdale, Coronation Street, and EastEnders faces cancellations or major rescheduling due to the football broadcasts, reports the Express.
Emmerdale is set to be a hotbed of drama next week, with a shocking character return, a sinister plot revelation, and hints at an upcoming exit all taking place on the beloved ITV soap.
Spoilers for the coming week suggest Ella Forster could be in danger as news of a car crash emerges following her surprising return to The Dales. Viewers will recall that Ella left the village earlier this year after her lethal secret was exposed, leaving her love interest Liam Cavanagh heartbroken, according to the Mirror.
In upcoming scenes, Liam is encouraged to reignite his romance with another former flame, Chas Dingle. The next day, an unidentified figure watches from a distance and things take a turn for the worse when Mandy Dingle finds an intruder who turns out to be Ella. A distressed Ella admits she has come back to collect her remaining possessions and leaves Mandy in a quandary when she departs.
However, it appears Ella might be in danger as later, Sam Dingle calls the ambulance service to report a crash on a country road involving Ella’s car.
Back in the village, Rose Jackson’s menacing plan is revealed as she tries to drug her ex-lover Will Taylor but it goes awry in true soap style. In other developments, Lydia Dingle urges Samson to make the right choice, suggesting a potential exit for the young character.
