ITV Emmerdale’s Ella Forster return revealed as car crash horror rocks village
Ella Forster could be in danger next week as a car crash is revealed on the hit ITV soap amid her return to the village following a huge bombshell
Emmerdale is set for explosive scenes next week in the village with Ella Forster returning.
Soap fans will recall that earlier this year, Ella’s killer secret was exposed and she scarpered from the village, leaving love interest Liam Cavanagh rocked. In upcoming scenes, single Liam is encouraged to rekindle things with other former love interest Chas Dingle after he previously found himself in a love triangle with Ella and Chas.
The next day, a mysterious figure watches on and things go from bad to worse when Mandy Dingle realises that there’s an intruder. It’s not long until Mandy realises it’s Ella and she’s returned to the village. A fragile Ella explains her return, admitting she is back to collect the rest of her things and when she goes to leave, Mandy is left conflicted over her friend leaving once again.
However, it appears there could be danger for Ella as later Sam Dingle calls the ambulance service to alert them to a crash on a country road involving Ella’s car… is Ella okay and is anyone else involved in the car crash? It comes after producer Sophie Roper confirmed that Paula Lane would be back playing Ella soon.

Speaking about Ella’s return to the show, she said: “We have the other storyline recently, which had a really huge twist that was quite unexpected, but really powerful. Ella will continue in the show, and her past will continue to haunt her.
“Her relationship with Liam will remain complicated, and we’ll continue to question – will she ever get a happily ever after? Can she ever really escape the past that’s led her to this point?” There had been much speculation that Ella was somehow connected to Meena Jutla. However, Ella’s interest in Meena and Liam’s daughter – who was killed by the serial killer – was because she had killed someone herself when she was young.
Speaking about Ella’s feelings towards what happened in the past, Paula Lane – who plays Ella – said: “Ella is so ashamed of her past and she knows that as soon as she reveals all, she risks losing everything with Liam. Every time the truth has come out in the past, she has had to move on and start again, so it’s incredibly painful to share and know that there is no going back now.
“I guess she feels he deserves the truth especially with everything he went through with Leanna. It’s a heaviness she carries all the time in the back of her mind. Pretending to carry on as normal is a short term fix and behind closed doors the guilt is very real. Every birthday is a reminder of what happened and will never allow her to fully move on.”
