Two major Emmerdale exits confirmed as feuding families are torn apart
Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope) and Suni Sharma (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) have left the Emmerdale village after a breakdown in their family relationships.
Nicky arrived in the Dales back in 2022 as the new Home Farm nanny. He found himself in a relationship with Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) and slotted in nicely with the rest of the clan there.
It was then revealed that Nicky is the son of Caleb Milligan (William Ash), who was working to destroy Kim Tate (Claire King) in a revenge plan.
Nicky’s relationship with Gabby was all part of Caleb’s plot because during this, it was actually revealed he’s gay and had no romantic feelings towards Gabby at all.
When Caleb’s plan was eventually exposed to everyone in the village, both him and Nicky had to work hard to show the residents they were sorry and wanted to move on.
Thankfully, it wasn’t long until Nicky found some happiness in the form of Suni, Jai’s (Chris Bisson) brother.
In Thursday’s (July 4) episode of the ITV soap, focus was on Caleb and Charles (Kevin Mathurin). He had found an invoice at Caleb’s house confirming his car was repaired the day after Ethan’s (Emile John) hit and run and set about confronting him, desperate for answers.
We know – and Nicky knows – that Ruby (Beth Cordingly) was actually responsible for Ethan’s car collision and after his death, she spent weeks convinced she played a role in him suddenly collapsing.
Ruby and Caleb were relieved when they discovered the police were dropping the case surrounding Ethan, because a coroner had confirmed he died of natural causes. Despite knowing this himself, Charles set about trying to get revenge on Caleb, which featured taking him to the middle of a woodland.
As much as Charles tried to frighten Caleb – he is a smart man. After covering for Ruby and pretending he hit Ethan, he reminded the local vicar that going to the police won’t do anything, because there’s official evidence the hit and run had nothing to do with how his son died.
Charles knew Caleb was right and eventually gave in. When Caleb returned to Mill Cottage he updated Ruby and then told Nicky they should talk about ‘getting their stories straight’ – just in case.
Nicky was angry at their parents over wanting him to lie again. As far as he was concerned, this was the final straw.
While this entire situation was unfolding, Suni was at the hospital learning the truth about Jai and Amit’s departure from the Dales. He told his brother he didn’t want anything to do with him anymore, later returning to Holdgate and telling Nicky this development was enough for him to want to leave the village for good.
With that, Nicky said his goodbyes to Ruby and Caleb and got in the car with Suni, ready for their new life together.
As they left, Charles watched and couldn’t help smirk at Caleb who, just like him, has now lost his only son.
