ITV Emmerdale ‘work out’ how Charity will save Belle in Tom revenge plan
Emmerdale viewers are convinced they've rumbled how Charity Dingle will save family member Belle Dingle from abusive husband Tom King in a revenge plan
Emmerdale fans are convinced they’ve rumbled how Charity Dingle will save family member Belle Dingle from abusive husband Tom King.
The ITV soap is tackling a coercive control storyline with Tom and Belle Dingle, and fans have recently seen Tom isolating and manipulating his partner Belle in hard-hitting scenes. Only recently, Belle made a difficult decision after discovering she was pregnant. The character secretly terminated her pregnancy last week, deciding she could not go ahead with the pregnancy after Tom had put pressure on her to start a family.
Earlier this week, after speaking to her mental health care coordinator, Rachel, Belle admitted that she told Tom she had a miscarriage instead of an abortion. During the chat, Belle realised she was in abusive relationship and made arrangements to see Debbie Dingle in Scotland so she could leave Tom.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the village, Tom was up at the farm doing some work, where Noah Dingle accidentally let slip that Belle was in town for an appointment instead of walking Piper, leaving the sinister vet fuming over his wife’s lies. After researching Belle’s location, Tom realised Belle had taken a trip to the abortion clinic and he was unable to contain his rage.

Tom started trashing the barn in anger before swinging an iron bar in the air for another blow which he accidentally hit against the barn’s rotary isolator behind him, Tom was electrocuted and hurled violently against a beam. It appeared that Tom was dead before Paddy Kirk was able to resuscitate him. Elsewhere, while it looked as though Belle had fled the village, she decided to head home to pick up Piper so they could go to Scotland together.
In true soap style, Rhona Goskirk then appeared at the house, revealing Tom had been electrocuted and they had to head to hospital. At the hospital, Tom woke up, claiming he couldn’t remember what had happened, but he chillingly said to Belle: “I’m never leaving you!” On Thursday night, Belle attempted to flee to Scotland again but was interrupted by a knock on the door, where Jimmy King was waiting with Tom in a wheelchair, who had discharged himself early.
The duo were then interrupted by the arrival of Charity Dingle, who questioned Tom as she pointed out that the barn was smashed up and asked what had happened. This prompted Tom to get defensive as he said: “Are you actually asking if I did this to myself?” Charity then shared her suspicions as well as worries for son Noah, who has been working as an electrician apprentice and did the electrics at the barn, as she said she didn’t want him getting blamed as he fitted the barn’s rotary isolator.
During the scene, Tom kept losing his temper and blurted out Belle’s miscarriage, which made Charity open up about her ectopic pregnancy heartbreak in 2022, sharing empathy with Belle. It was too much for Belle as she got upset to which Charity went to leave before accidentally revealing that Belle was planning to see Debbie in Scotland, leaving Tom furious.
Later, over at The Woolpack, Charity shared her suspicions about Tom to Noah, commenting: “Something is not adding up!” She added: “No, he’s [Tom] not decent… he’s almost perfect and when someone or something appears perfect…” On Friday’s episode, Charity continued to be suspicious of Tom as she told Chas and Lydia Dingle: “I’m telling you now, he doesn’t need to be in a wheelchair, he just likes to be waited on hand and foot. You can’t blag a blagger!”

And it appeared her suspicions were correct as later Tom got out the wheelchair without Belle looking as he walked around the house. In a sick twist, Tom decided to gain more control over Belle as he later pretended to fall out of the wheelchair so it would leave his wife feeling more worried about him.
Later, Charity attempted to see Belle, who in a panic, sent her away, leaving Tom delighted. The episode ended with Charity sharing her suspicions with Chas and Lydia Dingle, saying: “What if she’s got tangled up in something she can’t get out of, let’s face it, he’s pretty intense. He was stalking you [Chas] at one point, remember? All I am saying is something is not right here, it’s not adding up, and if Belle needs our help, we’re stepping in, right?” to which they all agreed.
Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were quick to predict what would happen next as one person said: “A ‘the three’ where chas, lydia and charity collectively kill tom #Emmerdale?”, a different account put: “Do you think that charity,Chas and Lydia are catching on and going to investigate and find out about toms abuse?? #emmerdale”, another wrote: “Charity, Chastity and Lydia – the Three Musketeers all set to rescue Belle! #Emmerdale” while a different viewer added: “DINGLE WOMEN TO THE RESCUE #emmerdale.”
