Emmerdale’s Amelia ‘to expose Belle’s lie to Tom’ ahead of deadly twist

Emmerdale may have teased what leads to Belle Dingle’s abortion lie being revealed to her abusive husband Tom King, ahead of a deadly twist next week.

While spoilers have teased a conversation with Noah Dingle leads to Tom making a realisation next week, amid an electrocution twist, scenes on Wednesday night have hinted at someone else being involved. Noah’s girlfriend Amelia Spencer unknowingly found herself caught up in Belle’s ordeal in the latest episode of the ITV soap, after Belle made a big decision.

After falling pregnant amid abuser Tom pressuring her to start a family with him, Belle knew she could not go through with the pregnancy and decided to secretly book an abortion. With Tom keeping tabs on her constantly, including tracking her phone, selling her car and taking control of her money, Belle is under his full control.

But she knew she had a window of opportunity to sneak out of the village and attend her appointment, with Tom making it clear previously he wanted her to have the baby. Belle knew he would stop her from terminating the pregnancy if he found out, and so on Wednesday she fled the village with the help of Amelia.

Amelia was heading for a walk with her young daughter Esther when she bumped into Belle, who had left the house with her dog Piper. Belle had found the spare key to Tom’s car, and she knew Tom would be out for the day on a work call with the vets.

Belle begged Amelia to take Piper on her walk with her, saying she had an appointment she needed to get to. Amelia was reluctant but did so, and Belle headed out of the village.

On her way back she narrowly missed being spotted by Tom, and then she ended up racing to the woods to stop him from realising she wasn’t with Piper. Belle had placed her phone in Esther’s pram, knowing Tom was tracking her movements.

She wanted to make it look like she had never left the village, and of course Tom soon tracked Belle’s phone to the woods and heard Piper barking. But he was stunned to see Piper with Amelia, and Belle nowhere to be seen, leading to Amelia preparing to explain about Belle heading off.

Belle managed to get there just in time, pretending she had been searching for Piper’s ball. With Amelia baffled by the whole situation, unsure why Belle was keeping her appointment from Tom, she pulled a face.

But could Amelia end up spilling the beans if probed by Tom about what Belle was up to? Given Tom finds out next week about the abortion, perhaps Amelia will accidentally let slip to him that Belle wasn’t with her all day and had left the village for an appointment.

Amelia was heard saying on the phone about Belle being in town, so perhaps this will get back to Tom. With Belle telling Tom she has suffered a miscarriage, could he find out about her visit to the clinic? Viewers will have to tune in to see what happens!
