Former Emmerdale actress Hayley Tamaddon has taken to social media to share that she was taken to hospital having suffered 'horrendous' pain in her neck
A former Emmerdale star has been rushed to hospital.
Hayley Tammadon took to social media late on Wednesday evening to reveal having suffered from severe pain, she was taken to the hospital and placed on a drip. The actress said she woke up and due to the pain thought her “head was gonna explode,” before she vomited.
Having arrived at the hospital, the former Del Dingle star was placed on a drip for medication to be directly fed into her bloodstream, which failed to relieve the pain she was suffering. The star said her “head and neck pain still horrendous” before being given a life-changing diagnosis. Sharing a post with her 98,300 followers, Hayley said she had been getting ready for work but was struggling due to her mystery condition.
She said: “Today. Woke up. Thought my head was gonna explode. Puked up twice. Took Jasper to nursery. Got ready for a photo shoot. Got there and realised I really should see a doctor. Ended up in hospital. On a drop for medication. It didn’t work.” She added: “Head and neck pain still horrendous. Had a scan. Got told I have arthritis.

“Came home. Picked Jasper up. Made tea. Put him to bed. Took some tablets. Had a cry. Going back to the hospital tomorrow. Life of a single working mum.” However, the extent or type of arthritis Hayley is suffering from is currently unknown. The condition causes severe pain and also inflammation in the joints.
It’s estimated that millions of people across the UK suffer from the condition which affects people of all ages, including children. Currently, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis are the two most common cases across the UK. Common symptoms of the condition, according to the NHS include joint pain, tenderness and stiffness, inflammation in and around the joints, restricted movement, warm red skin over the joint and weakness and muscle wasting.
Hayley’s hospital trip comes after her son Jasper was also rushed to hospital earlier this year. The star who also appeared on Coronation Street told her followers that the tot “couldn’t stop being sick”. She informed fans that he was having “lots of tests” as medical experts attempted to get to the bottom of his illness.
Jasper was admitted to a ward following his trip and was placed on an IV drip. Meanwhile, Hayley herself suffered another scary diagnosis in 2022, having been diagnosed with viral meningitis.
