Emmerdale fate ‘sealed’ for Belle Dingle as abusive Tom learns about pregnancy
Emmerdale's Belle Dingle was hoping to keep her pregnancy a secret from her abusive husband Tom King.
Emmerdale’s Belle Dingle (played by Eden Taylor Draper) felt forced to admit she was pregnant during Tuesday’s instalment of the ITV show to her abusive husband Tom King (James Chase).
Belle feared controlling Tom was going to physically hit her while she was cowering on the sofa, so she blurted out the words “I’m pregnant” as she clutched onto her stomach.
Tom, who appeared elated to learn his wife was carrying their child, was desperate to know when she found out she was pregnant.
She lied to him and said it was that morning she discovered she was expecting a baby – but that is far from the truth.
Belle later begged Tom not to tell people she was pregnant, to which he responded: “Why not?” She explained: “Well, I’d like to have the scan first if that is alright and I’d like to tell my family first.”

They went on a walk together with their dog Piper, which Tom tried to kill off in recent weeks in a sick bid to get Belle to return home, and she questioned whether they should keep the baby.
Tom has been controlling every aspect of Belle’s life since they tied the knot in February, but she is still standing by his side.
Following tonight’s difficult episode, fans of the serial drama headed to social media with their theories about the pregnancy storyline.

Teena penned: “Now Belle’s told him she’s pregnant there is no hope for her…#emmerdale.”
Mary added: “This storyline is so authentic it’s making my blood curdle. Belle has lost all confidence now and doesn’t trust her own mind. Brilliant job scriptwriters #Emmerdale.”
A third shared: “Oh Belle, if you thought life with Tom was tough so far, it’s going to get so much worse now a baby is in prospect. #Emmerdale.”
Jamie theorised: “Now Belle is gonna seek a termination and try to make out she’s miscarried. She hates him. She’s a Dingle. All she has to do is tell one of them, and he’s a dead man. But we have to struggle to watch the pr**k for another few months #Emmerdale.”
