Emmerdale death ‘sealed’ as fans beg for Dales legend to strike back against abusive Tom King
Tom King continues to torment his wife Belle Dingle, unbeknownst to her loved ones. But after scenes aired on Tuesday, frustrated viewers are begging Cain Dingle to take action.
Hot-tempered Cain Dingle has a protective streak, making him the perfect candidate to teach Tom King a harsh lesson, according to Emmerdale fans.
The Dales legend portrayed by Jeff Hordley has been embroiled in Matty Barton’s prison ordeal as he tries to make his nephew Samson Dingle see sense. ITV viewers will remember that the troublemaker threw his cousin under the bus after being accidentally stabbed. On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, Matty was taken to prison after breaching his bail conditions but Cain took a moment out of his schedule to confront and berate Tom King (James Chase) after finding out the vet had sold Belle Dingle’s car.
Tom promised to change on Tuesday after learning Belle was pregnant
Tempers flared up as Cain shamed Tom for the price at which he sold Belle’s vehicle, reminding him he would have earned him a better deal as a mechanic. While Tom managed to keep his cool during his chat with Cain, it wasn’t long before he took his frustration out on his wife.
The exchange was, however, enough for fans of the Yorkshire-based program to hope that Cain was catching on to Tom. Soap viewers have tipped Cain as the most likely to help Belle escape her domestic abuse ordeal for several months and fans have pleaded with bosses to allow the tough man to make Tom pay.
“When’s Cain gonna put Tom through the wood chipper”, one fan commented on X, otherwise known as Twitter, while another added: “Can Cain hurry up and lock Tom in a basement please?” A third viewer lamented: “so bored of this tom and belle story just tell Cain he’ll sort it”, as a fourth chimed in: “I am so here ready for when Cain finds out what Tom’s been up to.” One final fan added: “Can’t they speed this storyline up where Cain just rips Toms head clean off.”
Elsewhere, one Emmerdale viewer reminded others that Belle would mostly likely need help to leave Tom, from Cain or another villager, as they pointed out: “It’s not as simple as shouting out, ‘just leave him Belle’ but the coercive control means that she’s now at a point that she can’t live her own life. He’s now ‘invested’ in her pregnancy. He will not be able to keep his gob shut. He’s a poor excuse for a man.”
Another theorised: “Now Belle is gonna seek a termination and try to make out she’s miscarried. She hates him. She’s a Dingle. All she has to do is tell one of them, and he’s a dead man. But we have to struggle to watch the prick for another few months.”
Viewers have been advocating for Belle to leave Tom for several months as his abuse has escalated into physical violence. Back in May, the village vet punched his bride in the stomach, leaving fans fearing he could go as far as to kill her in a fit of rage. Will Belle get help before it’s too late?
