Emmerdale spoilers: Ruby reveals how she wants Rose to destroy Kim – and it’s utterly scandalous
We already knew that Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco) had a hidden agenda for being at Emmerdale’s Home Farm and was working with Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) to destroy Kim Tate (Claire King). What we didn’t know was exactly how they planned to achieve this outcome. In Tuesday (June 4)’s we found out – and it’s a shocker.
There’s a feeling that Rose has genuinely started to care about her daughter, Dawn (Olivia Bromley), and wants to be of help as Dawn and Billy (Jay Kontzle) go through the trauma of their baby son Evan having treatment for leukaemia.
In this episode Dawn was at Home Farm having a break but was unable to sleep because of her worry over Evan.
Clemmie (Mabel Addison) and Lucas (Noah Ryan Aspinall) were on day one of being home schooled and were not taking it well, with Clemmie refusing to leave her room in protest and Lucas grumpy about having to do maths when he was supposed to be doing English.
Rose offered to help by taking both the children out for a walk, which she promised to make a bit educational so they would still be officially learning. Afterwards she offered Dawn a brandy to help her relax, and mother and daughter sat down together for a friendly chat.
When Rose suggested that Dawn could try to get more sleep Dawn said it would be impossible because every time she tried her mind was racing. Rose reached into her bag and offered her some sleeping pills, telling her they were heavy duty and would knock her straight out.
Kim and Will (Dean Andrews) overheard this and came storming in, pointing out that Dawn is a recovering addict and Rose shouldn’t be offering her any kind of drugs. Rose was genuinely shocked that she hadn’t known this and was sorry, but Will was fuming. He said it was time Rose left.
Dawn said she didn’t want Rose to go, and in fact she was angry with Will for continuing to label her as an ‘addict.’ Will and Kim agreed that Rose could stay but she was on her last chance.
Rose later met up with Ruby and told her what had happened. That’s when we found out exactly how Ruby wants Rose to ruin Kim’s life. Basically, Rose’s mission is to ‘bed Will.’ In fact Ruby was surprised that Rose hadn’t already managed to do it.
Ruby has paid off Rose’s debts, meaning that Rose is now very much in debt to her and Ruby left her under no illusions – if she fails in her mission Ruby will be expecting all the money back.
Added to this, the stakes are even higher for Rose now she feels close to Dawn and her children and Ruby was very clear on that point, too.
‘Do what you’re told,’ she warned. ‘Otherwise you lose everything – including Dawn.’
