ITV Emmerdale shock double exit as ‘character sent down for murder’ after death twist
Emmerdale could air a shocking double exit in the coming days - after one character departed tonight and another could be jailed for their murder
Emmerdale could be set for a surprise double exit in a huge death twist.
The ITV soap aired some shocking scenes tonight where Ethan Anderson – played by Emile John – collapsed and sadly passed away. Whilst Manpreet Sharma and Charles Anderson tried to save Ethan’s life, it was in vain and he died after being rushed to hospital.
Speaking about the big scenes, Kevin – who plays Charles – shared: “Charles has lost his one and only constant, who has been in his life throughout when others have come and went. Charles needs to deal with a life without Ethan.
“It’s going to be devastating for Charles to deal with. It was devastating to know Emile was leaving. We joined the show together, and we sort of bonded straight away – and he’s been amazing playing my son. He’s a good mate, and we’ve had some great moments. It’s been an amazing journey but it’s going to be so weird him not sitting next to me in the dressing room.”
However, whilst Kevin is at peace with Emile’s exit, the same can’t be said for Charles’ feeling of losing his son. He is clearly devastated and heartbroken, but he has vowed revenge on whoever ran Ethan over as he believes they are responsible for Ethan’s death.
Could this lead to a shock exit for another resident – if Charles learns the truth about who was behind the wheel that day?
Of course, with Ethan’s death, this marks an exit for Emile John – who has played Ethan on the ITV soap – for three years. Speaking about the collapse scenes, Kevin said: “By this point in the storyline, Ethan has realised that he grew up with a lot of morals and whatever the consequences, doing the right thing comes first. Ethan does feel guilty about what happened to Nicky and he’s going to do the right thing and face up to his responsibilities. When the day of the court hearing arrives, Charles lets Ethan know how proud he is over him doing the right thing. He says that whatever happens will happen and they’ll face it together.
“Ethan is also feeling very strong and confident that he’s doing the right thing. Charles reassures Ethan that he won’t be in prison for long – the sentence won’t be that bad, hopefully. But then Charles realises that he’s not getting any response. He comes back from the kitchen into the living room and realises Ethan’s on the floor. He goes into emergency mode and he has no clue what’s going on.”
