Belle Dingle fights back against abusive husband Tom King but there’s a harrowing twist in Emmerdale
Tom's cruel lies could be about to be proved right in a cruel twist of fate
BELLE Dingle will be seen fighting back against her controlling and abusive husband but it stands to leave her with dire consequences.
She will finally take a stand after another week at the hands of her vile partner but a shock twist sees Belle facing the flack for Tom’s actions.
Viewers of the ITV soap have watched in recent weeks how Belle and Tom’s marriage has continued to crumble and turn increasingly abusive.
He burnt and scolded Belle by keeping her hand and arm under a hot running tap in a vile act.
Although Belle has begun to be wary of her hubby’s actions, including attempting to call things off with him, fans will see how he attempts to win her around again in upcoming scenes.
Next week, with it clear that Belle is intent on bringing their marriage to a close after another abusive incident, Tom manages to persuade Belle that he will seek help in return for them sticking the marriage out for a bit longer.
Fans will see Belle force Tom to address the concerning problems and behaviours in their relationship.
Tom agrees to have a chat with Dr. Liam about his anger when it comes to Belle which she sees as a huge step in the right direction.
However, in a cruel twist of fate, Tom flips it around on Belle as he confesses to Liam in the appointment that she issues with anger and has been displaying signs of coercive control.
Elsewhere, Mandy and Lydia are left consumed in thought regarding Belle after they declare that she hasn’t been herself or responding to texts or calls.
Later, Tom lies to Belle about his appointment and insists it went well that leaves her feeling reassured.
As the anniversary of Lisa Dingle’s death rolls around, cruel and evil Tom plots to make the day hell for Belle.
He organises for Belle to sit in the house all day waiting for a parcel and therefore miss an anniversary day for Lisa with Lydia and Sam.
However, a defiant Belle still heads to the picnic day out regardless.
When he eventually learns that Belle did not stay at home as he had asked, his blood boils and he is left raging at his wife.
He lashes out in a hate-filled rant at Belle and blames her for ruining his entire day.
However, he takes it a step too far when he puts her dead mother Lisa on blast with a series of offensive and insulting comments about the deceased Dingle matriarch.
It causes Belle to snap and seeing red, she fights back and pushes Tom to the ground.
But a crowd of villagers are watching and are left in disbelief at seeing Belle lash out.
Her ill-timed public reaction goes hand-in-hand with what Tom told Dr Liam.
Has she shockingly helped to prove his lies to the world?
