ITV Emmerdale exit ‘sealed’ for Ethan after arrest as characters vow revenge

Emmerdale's Ethan Anderson could be headed out of the village after he was arrested for the recent drink-driving crash that has left Nicky Miligan fighting for his life

Emmerdale could be waving goodbye to another character after the latest episode saw a shock arrest.

Ethan Anderson was led away by police just days on from his drink-driving crash that injured his pal Nicky Miligan. Ethan crashed Nicky’s car and then fled the scene, leaving Nicky lifeless in the road after dragging him out of the car.

He was rushed to hospital with a serious head injury and swelling on his brain, and he remains in a coma with his fate uncertain. His devastated parents Ruby and Caleb are desperate to find out who left their son for dead, both of them keen for revenge.

In the latest episode of the ITV soap, Caleb told his brother Cain Dingle about Nicky not being the driver, and he swore he would find out who was driving the car and caused the crash. He planned to hunt them down with a murderous look in his eye, unaware of the confession unfolding in the village.

Ethan’s strange behaviour in recent days left his dad Charles Anderson concerned, and he encouraged him to speak about what was troubling him. A guilty Ethan ended up confessing the truth that he was the driver who injured Nicky.

But Charles was stunned when he learned his son had no intention of handing himself in, and he even wanted an alibi. Charles was furious, and ended up calling the police himself.

Ethan was arrested and was led away by police officers, in a moment witnessed by Ruby who realised what was happening. As Charles confirmed to her that Ethan was the driver, Ruby screamed at “sick” Ethan and told him to rot in hell.

So with Ethan being arrested for causing the crash while drunk, could this mean he will be sent to prison for his crime, meaning an exit is on the cards? It’s yet to be confirmed whether Nicky will survive the incident, with his family holding a vigil by his bedside.
