The arrival of Rose (Christine Tremarco) has changed everything for Kim Tate (Claire King) in Emmerdale.

This week, Will’s (Dean Andrews) plan to help Billy (Jay Kontzle) with childcare changed when he secretly slipped off to the hospital.

There, he came face to face with Rose, his ex and Dawn’s (Olivia Bromley) mum.

In upcoming episodes, Dawn is in turmoil after coming face to face with Rose and doesn’t want to address the matter with Billy.

Meanwhile, after getting directions to Home Farm, Rose faces Kim and asks to speak with her daughter.

Eventually, Dawn returns home and sees Rose again. She agrees to a meeting but tells her mum that Kim will be sitting in on their chat.

After Rose lays her heart on the line, Kim privately offers her £2k to go back to Spain and never return. Despite raising the offer to another grand, Rose refuses to budge.

Frustrated, Kim coldly reminds her of the other options she could take that would be worse. With no other option, Rose reluctantly accepts and leaves.

In the Woolpack, Rose is joined by Kerry (Laura Norton) and Gail (Rachael Gill-Davis). When Billy arrives, he tells Rose to clear off but with an audience, Rose turns the tables and reveals that Kim has paid her off which leaves Dawn stunned.

Back at Home Farm, Will is frustrated over Kim’s latest move but when Dawn enters, she reveals some unexpected and shocking news.

Rose is staying with them.

‘Kim is puppeteering constantly and I think for Dawn, she steps over a line there and she realised that she wants to be in control of her own destiny’, actress Olivia Bromley said.

‘Kim can’t control everything. And especially financially, I think that was quite sneaky the way it played out. So, I think that pushed Dawn to have a conversation with Rose in the end and that conversation was a vulnerable one and they connected.

It sounds like a recipe for disaster – can Rose and Kim really live under the same roof?

Talking about welcoming her to the Dales, producer Laura Shaw revealed: ‘We are massively delighted to welcome Christine Tremarco to the Emmerdale Family.

‘Christine brings a wealth of experience and talent and playing the character of Rose, a true free spirit with an exuberant outlook on life, she certainly promises to cause a real storm for some of our villagers.’

Discussing the arrival of Rose, actor Dean Andrews told Metro.co.uk: ‘We’re a lovely little gang, Claire, Olivia and Jay. But obviously it’s nice when someone else comes in to create more drama or different dynamics, and get someone else on set with their energy.

‘We’ve been on set together with our little gang for three or four years now so we know each other, we love each other, we have a great time, it’s brilliant. But Christine, I worked with her the first time 21 years ago and she’s not really changed. It was called Faith. A film about the miners strike in Yorkshire.

He added: ‘And I’ve watched her career along the way so I know she’s a cracking actor, and I knew she’d fit in because she’s dead down to earth, as we all are. And she’s just good. So we were looking forward to her coming in and infiltrating the little gang and adding some more layers to the story.’
