ITV Emmerdale’s Tom cruelly manipulates Belle with Carl King taunt after Vinny attack

Emmerdale’s Tom King guilt-tripped wife Belle Dingle into sleeping with him in the latest episode, before belittling Vinny Dingle over his past.

Just days on from Tom violently attacking Vinny and leaving him for dead, something he has yet to be exposed for, Tom worked on targeting Vinny once more on the ITV soap. Not only that but as he continued to try and drive a wedge between Vinny and Belle, he cruelly dropped claims about his villainous father Carl King to guilt trip Belle.

After Vinny had confided in pal Belle about something he had not told anyone, Tom manipulated Belle into letting slip the information before using it to taunt and mock Vinny, at a time where he is struggling after his attack. Vinny and Belle have no idea Tom was the one who attacked him, with jealousy being the motive.

Tom has been coercively controlling Belle for weeks, isolating her from loved ones and making her feel bad about not wanting to rely on him. Trying to get her to stay at home and give up her career, Tom recently trashed the house and claimed they were burgled so that she did not feel safe.

After Tom’s attempts to end Belle and Vinny’s friendship did not work, with Tom fearing their bond, he was furious when he couldn’t locate his wife, with her phone broken and the home camera turned off. His means of spying on her were out of the window so he fled home to confront her, before tracking her phone to the scrapyard – which is what led to him attacking Vinny and leaving him injured.

After suggesting to Belle their recent thieves could be behind Vinny’s attack, he smirked as she shared her fears. But when Belle was keen to spend time with Vinny and keep an eye on him in the latest episode, she was annoyed that Tom wouldn’t leave them alone and instead he insisted on staying.

As Vinny went to have a sleep, Tom tried to get Belle to have sex with him in the living room knowing full well Vinny was upstairs. When she refused, he turned on her and claimed she had made him feel like he was forcing her, referencing his late father Carl King who had tried to rape Chas Dingle years earlier.

Belle was horrified she’d made Tom feel this way, and ended up sleeping with him out of guilt. As Vinny went downstairs later, Tom made it blatantly clear they’d been intimate, before making a dig about Vinny not having had sex.

Vinny had confided in Belle recently about his lack of relationships, and his history with late wife Liv Flaherty. He’d asked Belle not to tell anyone that he’d never had sex before to which she agreed, only to then go and tell Tom who mocked Vinny over this.

Making comments and landing Belle in it, Tom was shown smirking as Vinny felt betrayed by a guilty Belle. As Belle tried to apologise he asked her and Tom to leave, with Tom smiling as he walked out the door.

It comes after soap producer Laura Shaw confirmed the abuse by Tom towards Belle would soon turn physical. A special episode coming up will focus on the pair and what goes on behind closed doors.
