ITV Emmerdale ‘rumble’ Eric Pollard’s downfall as he targets Kerry and Victoria

Emmerdale’s Eric Pollard could find his downfall imminent, as fans ‘worked out’ how he will be exposed after his lies.

Eric has targeted a few residents this week with threats and scams, causing carnage in the village. He scammed Kerry Wyatt out of thousands of pounds, with her unaware of his behaviour.

But now he’s also threatening Jai Sharma over an incident weeks ago, asking him to do as he says amid a new feud with Victoria Sugden. In the latest episode, we saw Eric continuing his lies to Kerry, after conning her out of money that could have been hers.

Kerry had stolen an expensive necklace from a cruise ship and asked Eric to have it valued for her, hoping to use it to pay for her daughter Amy Wyatt’s wedding. So when Eric told her it was worthless she was devastated but sold it for the tiny amount he offered.

Of course we then saw Eric confess to a pawnbroker that it was actually worth thousands, and he and the man pocketed the cash. Eric then played the hero and funded the wedding, and has since told Kerry she has to pay him back every penny and interest, knowing full well she doesn’t have any money.

So how will Kerry react if the truth comes out about the missing money? Elsewhere, after Victoria dumped Eric’s grandson Jacob Gallagher, Eric was on the warpath.

Using what happened between them and Jai’s father Amit Sharma recently as leverage, Eric warned Jai he needed to sack Victoria from her job at The Hide. Jai was horrified, but Eric sinisterly told him he had to do it or else.

But perhaps Eric has taken on the wrong people, with fans convinced someone will expose his behaviour. Not only that, but they think Eric will get caught out over the scam, amid a cast member recently hinting to The Mirror and other press this could be the case.

Taking to X, one fan posted: “vic and kerry to team up take Eric down I’m sorry but he deserves a comeuppance!!” Another said on if he will get caught: “Of course he will. Probably Kerry saying I’m just nipping to town and sees it in a shop.”

A third fan posted: “The police could be on the look out for the necklace as it is stolen goods,” while another added: “Eric will be caught for handling stolen goods.” Amy actress Natalie Ann Jamieson recently teased to The Mirror that Amy might learn the truth, and it could lead to her turning against Eric but it remains to be seen if this will happen.
