Charity comes to shocking realisation about Mack in Emmerdale – and it’s heartbreaking
Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) has made a huge amount of progress with her mental health in Emmerdale.
After killing Damon Harris last December, Charity struggled with PTSD. Things got so bad that she isolated herself from her family after accidentally stabbing Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb).
Fortunately, after help from her loved ones, Charity started therapy and slowly began to recover. Now, she’s back working at the pub and living with Mack, Moses, Sarah and Noah.
In tonight’s episode of the ITV soap, Charity dashed downstairs and wondered why her loved ones didn’t wake her up.
They were all in the living room sitting calmly. Noah was with Moses, who had got dressed for school, and Mackenzie was stood up looking proud at the peacefulness Charity had discovered.
As Mack encouraged Charity to sit down and listen to a mindfulness app, Moses asked if she wanted a cup of tea.
It was all very lovely but the problem? Charity hated it.
In the pub, as Mack continued to prioritise Charity’s wellbeing over everything else, she started to feel smothered.
In the back room, Charity explained to Mack that he’s trying too hard. She said the fact they’re always late for things, barely make the beds and never have milk in the fridge doesn’t bother her – she loves it.
