Abuser Tom strikes with brutal attack in Emmerdale – but ‘seals’ his downfall in the process
Tom King (James Chase) has left Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) for dead in Emmerdale after attacking him in the scrapyard office.
Yesterday, Tom was told by Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) that he could attending a posh trip away as part of his vetinary work.
As he got settled into the hotel room, it quickly became apparent in Thursday’s (April 18) episode of the ITV soap that Tom had no intention of relaxing or studying.
Opening up his laptop, Tom connected his device to the camera in his living room so he could watch Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) the entire day.
At first, Tom was listening in on casual conversations between Belle and Vinny.
The two friends then decided to put on a film which featured a few intimate scenes. As a flustered Vinny dashed off to the kitchen, Belle assumed he had probably done the stuff playing on the TV, but he then pointed out sexual intimacy wasn’t part of his relationship with Liv (Isobel Steele), and that he hadn’t actually been intimate with someone in that way before her.
A little embarrassed with what he had shared, Vinny then noticed a puppy camera in the corner of the living room. The thought of his conversation being recorded made him uncomfortable so Belle stood up and turned it off – and that made Tom a very angry man.
Because Belle and Vinny were talking about dating and ‘lessons in love’, Tom grew convinced something was going to happen between them. With that, he ran out of the hotel room and to his car, ready to return home.
When Tom arrived, Belle and Vinny were nowhere to be seen because they were out in the woods walking Piper and Chip, their dogs.
On their walk, Vinny told Belle that he could have a look at her broken phone.
Due to the fact it had switched itself off, Tom wasn’t able to track Belle’s mobile. Unaware of what was really going on, a paranoid Tom assumed his wife had turned the device off so her afternoon with Vinny wasn’t interrupted.
As Belle returned home with Piper, Vinny had fixed her phone and turned it back on.
To his shock, a number of notifications pinged through, revealing a variety of voicemails and missed calls from Tom.
Back in the village, as Tom’s tracker app reconnected, he jumped back in his car and made his way to the scrapyard.
Sneaking into the office, Tom hid behind the door with a paperweight in hand. Moments later, he attacked Vinny, who fell to the floor.
To Tom’s horror, Vinny didn’t move. He waited and slowly, the panic started to set in.
Tom grabbed some tissue and tried to remove his fingerprints from Belle’s phone, the door handle and the paperweight. He then rushed out of the office and left Vinny on his own – but has the abuser killed him?
If Vinny is alive, will he listen to the horrible voicemails from Tom on Belle’s phone?
