ITV Emmerdale’s Belle ‘rumbles’ evil Tom’s plan after deadly attack on Vinny
Emmerdale spoilers have teased next week could see Belle Dingle work out Tom King was behind the attack that leaves Vinny Dingle in a bad way on the ITV soap
Emmerdale’s Belle Dingle might rumble her vile husband Tom King’s recent actions, including a deadly attack on Vinny Dingle.
Episodes airing on the ITV soap this week will see Vinny attacked and left for dead by Tom, with Tom trying to avoid being found out. It seems next week his guilt is not picked up on, but that could all change as Vinny recovers.
Vinny is left injured and bruised in the aftermath, and he’s struggling with recent events according to spoilers for next week. His pal Belle rushes to support him during his time of need, much to the annoyance of abuser Tom.
Amid Tom becoming controlling over his wife, he’s grown jealous of her friendship with Vinny. When Vinny comes close to working out Tom is keeping tabs on Belle via an app on her phone, Tom attacks him to stop him realising the truth.
Next week, Tom decides to belittle Vinny, happy he’s gotten away with his crime. Not only that, but as Belle supports Vinny he takes action to split them apart once more.
But he could be exposed, as his sudden desire to be there for Vinny and their growing bond leaves Belle concerned. She knows what Tom is like and there must be a motive behind it, leaving her wondering what he might be up to.
Soon Tom reveals to her that he is keen to help Vinny find a girlfriend with Gabby Thomas in his sights. So will Belle realise what Tom is doing, and might she figure out he was behind Vinny’s attack?
It comes as soap producer Laura Shaw confirmed Tom and Belle’s coercive control storyline is about to escalate once more, with it seeming that Tom will turn violent towards his wife. Laura told us: “We’ve seen how their wedding night ended with Belle in tears, and we’ve seen since how Tom started to manipulate Belle and coercively control her.
“This long-running storyline has been really carefully researched and it’s going to continue over the next few months. We’ve been given access to real-life stories and spent time with charities like Refuge. What we’ve learnt from them is just how quickly coercive control relationships can turn physical, so that’s what we’ll see happen next with those two.”
