Emmerdale’s Rhona Goskirk makes huge mistake – and it could cost her baby Ivy
GUS has made Rhona a shock offer - but is he being truthful?
EMMERDALE’S Rhona Goskirk has made a huge mistake that could cost her baby Ivy.
The vet – who is played by actress Zoe Henry in the ITV soap – was found not guilty of kidnapping Ivy last week and tonight ex-husband Gus visited her with a deal.
He offered to sign over parental rights to Rhona as he was facing prison for fraudulently taking Rhona’s embryos.
Gus told Rhona and Marlon: “You’re the only person who can properly protect her. I’ve run out of options and I know I’m doing the right thing here.”
He added: “I know you love her and you’ll do the best for her. Lucy’s family are all in France. They don’t even know her.
“You’re the only other constant in her life and she’s bonded with you.”
Rhona hit back: “That’s because I’m her mum.”
Gus told her: “I’ll always see Lucy as Ivy’s mum. But my solicitor told me to expect prison.
“And I want you to have parental responsibility for Ivy while I’m in there.”
“You can’t just hand her over,” said Rhona. “We have to do this properly.”
“I’ll talk to my solicitor,” said Gus.
“We can make a private arrangement, that won’t take forever and will stop her from being taken into care.
“Then she can stay with you guys who love her and will look after her properly.”
But Rhona wasn’t convinced, thundering: “And how do we know that this isn’t just another dodgy deal that you’re going to back out of like last time?
“Come on Gus, where’s the catch, eh? Do you know what, I don’t trust you. I want you to leave. I mean it, go now please.”
With Gus gone, Marlon was confused and asked Rhona why she wouldn’t hear him out.
She told him: “What is the point of listening to any more of his lies?”
“Are you mad?” replied an angry Marlon. “You might just have lost your chance to get Ivy back without a fight.”
But has Rhona made a huge mistake or is Gus playing her again?
