Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb addresses possible return for Chloe Harris
Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb has spoken to Digital Spy about the chances of Chloe Harris returning to the village.
The actor’s character Mackenzie Boyd was left devastated at Christmas as Chloe (Jessie Elland) decided to move away with their baby son Reuben.
Chloe’s exit scenes aired on Boxing Day and closed a huge chapter of drama for Mackenzie, who’d been caught up in a love triangle with her and Charity Dingle for a year. However, the door was left open for a possible comeback.
Lawrence addressed Chloe’s exit while chatting at an exclusive Inside Soap magazine photoshoot featuring three of the show’s most prominent stars.

Lawrence, Emma Atkins (Charity) and Lucy Pargeter (Chas Dingle) all took part in the fun shoot, giving the trio a change of tone after recent heavy storylines.
Digital Spy was granted exclusive video access to the photoshoot and chatted with each of the cast involved.
Lawrence told Digital Spy: “I was gutted when Jessie left – me and Jessie got on really well. I still speak to her quite a lot.
“It was bittersweet, I guess, in many ways because whilst I really enjoyed working with her while we were on set, I know that she’s doing really well now.
“I know that she’s really enjoying doing what she’s doing now. So while it was sad on one level, I’m also very happy for her.”
“There’s always scope and I think they left it deliberately open for Chloe and Reuben to potentially return. But at the moment I don’t know,” he added.
In February, Jessie announced that she was making a surprise career move by releasing her first published novel The Ladie Upstairs, which will hit shelves in May next year.
Meanwhile, on Mackenzie’s immediate future, Lawrence continued: “At the moment I’m expecting it to be a little bit quieter for Mackenzie – and Charity, I guess. But it’s Emmerdale so you never know. There’s always something that they’ve got planned for each of the characters.
“I’m enjoying having a little bit of a break because I’ve been quite full-on for the last year at least!”
Lawrence also expressed his hopes for more storylines featuring Mackenzie and his friend Aaron Dingle, who teamed up for a car-stealing scam earlier this year.
He said: “I do enjoy working with Danny [Miller, who plays Aaron]. It’s always a laugh. There’s a lot of hilarity when we’re on set together. I hope so but at the moment I’m not sure.
“I think it might be a little bit quieter now for Mackenzie for a little bit. It would be nice to see some of the hi-jinks that Aaron and Mackenzie get up to.”
