Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley shares ‘no filter’ snap as she makes candid Botox comment
Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley, who stars as Mandy Dingle in the ITV soap, posted a make-up free selfie on Instagram and fans have praised her for being so real and honest
Emmerdale star Lisa Riley was applauded by fans after sharing a “no filter” snap of her face totally make-up free.
The actress – best known for playing Mandy Dingle in the ITV soap – took to Instagram to show fans her real face. Opening up about her skincare regime, she said there was “no Botox, no filler”.
The picture was taken up close and showed the TV star with her dark hair pulled back and with nothing at all on her face. Giving a slight smile, Lids told ger followers: “Looking after my skin. ABSOLUTELY NO FILTER OR LIGHTING HERE……MY SKIN aged nearly 48.”
She went on: “So no Botox, no filler, just taking care of my skin daily and trust me for work at @ emmerdale I wear A LOT of make-up.”
The actress then listed some of the products she felt work for her. She added a string of hashtags to her post, including “#nobotox”, “#nofiller” and “#nofilter”.
Lisa’s fans welcomed her honest message, noting how nice it was to see a make-up free face with no enhancements and that she as setting a great example. “Love this, we rarely see people looking genuinely clear of make-up and filters and flattering lighting,” said one, adding: “Thank you for sharing.”
Several said the TV star was “glowing”. “Thanks for such an honest picture,” posted one person, as another remarked: “How refreshing to see a bare complexion and so completely natural.”
“Gorgeous,” commented one person. “You’re an inspiration in natural beauty Lisa… I hope young girls take their lead from you,” agreed somebody else.
“Do you ever go out in your own time like this with make-up free?” one viewer asked. “If not, you should. I’m always used to seeing Mandy and her thick make up, but you Lisa have beautiful skin.”
“You don’t need filters because you’re beautiful,” added another fan.
