Emmerdale Ella’s ‘dark past’ exposed in ‘stalking’ twist – as fans twig link to Kerry
EXCLUSIVE: Emmerdale GP secretary Ella has been causing a stir in the Dales pursuing a romance with Dr Liam Cavanagh – but fans think there’s more to the story
Emmerdale newcomer Ella looks set to be hiding a very dark past, and fans think they’ve figured out just how she links to Kerry Wyatt after her cruise ship return.
GP secretary Ella, played by Coronation Street star Paula Lane, is new on the scene and already pursuing a romance with Dr Liam Cavanagh. Now Daily Star has asked Google’s artificial intelligence tool Gemini what she could be up to, and it appears something sinister could be on the cards.
Gemini revealed that she could be hiding her true identity or even a criminal past. It suggested: “Perhaps Ella has a history of fraud, embezzlement, or other financial crimes that she’s trying to escape. This could explain her sudden arrival in the Dales and her interest in finding a wealthy man.”
It went on to offer: “She might be connected to a bigger criminal enterprise, either as an accomplice or someone on the run. This could involve threats, danger, and potential exposure.” This is where fans reckon her connection to Kerry comes in – suggesting Ella is the one who keeps phoning her in relation to the stolen jewellery she’s pawning.
One X user suggested: “In Emmerdale anyone think it’s Ella phoning Kerry all the time? Feel like she’s gonna come in with a blackmail twist… and she moved away quick when Kerry saw her.” Another followed up: “Ella has definitely got a dodgy past. Either she has killed someone or hooked up with someone older for their money. Her reaction when someone suggested that she might find a man who is ill and loaded suggested it’s happened before. Or in prison with Meena.”
If Ella really is out to get rich quick, blackmailing Kerry could be a good place to start while she gets her claws deeper into Liam and his GP salary. But others have thrown suspicion onto her identity as a whole, with Gemini stating: “Her entire identity in the village could be a lie. She might be hiding from someone or something, creating a constant sense of paranoia and the need for secrecy.
“Her strange reaction to the suggestion of finding a man who is ill and loaded could hint at a past unhealthy obsession or a stalking incident she’s desperate to keep hidden,” it added.
Despite some fans suggesting she’s linked to serial killer Meena Jutla, others think Ella could be abuser Tom King’s secret sister. Tom has been taking control of his wife Belle’s life, smashing up their house and blaming it on thieves. One X user said: “The new rumour is Ella has a link to Tom.”
Somebody else agreed: “I definitely think that there’s some kind of connection between Ella the doctor’s receptionist and Tom King. I wonder, could she really be Anya, his sister? They’re both targeting a member of the Dingle family in some way or other. It’s definitely a revenge plot.”
But another user pointed out: “People saying Ella is Tom king’s sister… well wouldn’t Jimmy recognise his own niece if it was? Before she joined I thought she was connected to Graham (Kim’s ex) but their surnames are slightly different as hers is Forster and his was Foster…”
