ITV Emmerdale fans make same demand after Aaron Dingle scene as truth finally revealed

Emmerdale fans were left saying the same thing as the ITV soap aired some shocking scenes between Aaron Dingle and Liam Cavanagh this evening

Aaron Dingle

Emmerdale fans all said the same thing tonight as Aaron Dingle attacked Dr Liam Cavanagh.

Aaron had been keeping his test results secret from his mum Chas Dingle after finding out he had inherited her faulty BRCA2 gene. Chas has decided to have a mastectomy but until tonight was unaware that her son also tested for the gene.

Dr Liam Cavanagh had been to visit Chas, after Charity convinced him to come by so Chas could confess her feelings. However, a throwaway comment about Aaron had Chas thinking and she soon realised he was hiding something.

When they spoke later, Chas demanded Aaron to tell her the truth and he confirmed he did have the faulty gene, leaving her horrified. Aaron was fuming that Liam had told her about the test and later, he went over to see him and confronted him.

He attacked him and pushed him over, leading to fans saying the same thing. One wrote: “Aaron that’s out of order! He only done something you should have done weeks ago. Plus he didn’t actually tell Chas he give a hint.. #Emmerdale,” whilst a second added: “Angry p***k Aaron’s back again, he needs to grow up #Emmerdale.” A third shared: “Really thought that aaron had turned a corner, he only meant well! #emmerdale.”

When Danny Miller had found out that Aaron had the faulty gene, he feared being killed off the ITV soap.

Speaking to The Mirror and other press, he said: “My first thought about this story was, ‘I’ve just moved to Leeds, please don’t kill me off!’ There are people who just have bad luck, which follows them. So I knew what they were going to say when it was the three of them [Cain Dingle, Caleb Milligan and his character Aaron] who take the gene test. I remember saying, ‘It’s me that gets it, isn’t it?'”

He added: “I don’t think Aaron realises the seriousness of it straight away. Aaron’s always been one of those people who doesn’t like constant eyes and attention on him. If he were to tell people when he’s not dealt with it himself, he’s likely to get a lot of people asking if he’s alright, which is the worst question you can ask him.”

Only Chas knows at the moment, but Danny has explained that only Paddy and Chas will be who he confides in, as they are the two people he trusts most in the whole village. Aaron has been quite guarded since his return and will continue to do so.

“I’ve always been interested in those types of stories that are untouched and untold. But it’s naïve of me to not think about male breast cancer. I spoke to a couple of other people here, males, and they didn’t know about it either,” he added, “So it would be an interesting story. For now, Aaron puts it all to the back of his mind. I know there will be a conversation with Chas at some point. She’s the only person, apart from Paddy, that Aaron would open up to. I hope it’ll be a positive outcome for Aaron, and for me!”
