Chas Dingle injured in fight with Ruby Fox-Miligan in Emmerdale
Only one villager is left offering support to Ruby
A CANCER-STRICKEN Chas Dingle will be left injured after a scuffle with Ruby Fox-Milligan gets out of hand.
The Woolpack barmaid suffers a brutal chest injury just weeks after having a double mastectomy following her breast cancer diagnosis.
In scenes yet to be broadcast on the TV soap opera the Dingle family will be left divided once again.
The fallout of Caleb’s affair and reunion with wife Ruby continues to wreak havoc in the Dales as the couple continue to face shunning from the rest of the Dingle clan.
However, Emmerdale fans know that Ruby is secretly plotting against her hubby and now her plans have seemed to be rumbled.
A conversation that Chas has with her outcast brother changes the course of the family once again.
Ruby is left furious to find that her plan to get away from the village has been undone after a single conversation that Chas has with Caleb.
The move ultimately restores Caleb into the Dingle good books and he is soon welcomed back into the Dingle fold with open arms.
As he begins to get comfortable in the pub, Ruby soon struts in and makes her presence known.
Spoiling for a scrap, she is locked in a war of words with the rest of the dingle family.
A violent scrap soon ensures as Ruby accidentally elbows Chas right in the chest whilst she still recuperates from her breast surgery.
Understandably shunned by everyone, Ruby is left broken in the aftermath of the fight and known she injured an ill Chas.
Caleb soon sides with the Dingles for good and publicly rejects and disowns Ruby after her vile behaviour.
As she battles with what has just occurred, she sits alone and inconsolable.
Dawn later spots her and worries for her especially after Caleb emerges from the pub and is left raging at his wife.
It leaves Ruby desperately trying to convince him that she injured Chas on accident and that it wasn’t a deliberate attempt to attack the cancer patient.
The scenes will come just days after fans saw Ruby open up about her ‘dark’ family history on the soap.
During a family meal with Nicky and Caleb, Ruby said: “You know when I first met your dad, I definitely wasn’t much of a cook.”
Caleb added: “I did all the cooking, and the cleaning and the ironing. Your mum was posh. Very posh.”
“I’m still very posh,” she joked as Nicky asked more about her family.
“Your mum’s family didn’t exactly warm to me, they thought she could do better,” Caleb said.
“They loved their daughter, and wanted what’s best for her. I didn’t blame them.”
Revealing that she lost her entire posh family by choosing him, Ruby tried to minimise it, saying: “Things were said and we stopped talking. Happens more than you think.”
Appearing serious for a second, Caleb told her: “Have I ever actually said thank you? You gave up a lot for me.”
“Yeah, I did,” Ruby replied.
