Emmerdale's Matthew Wolfenden has been selling off items at rock-bottom prices that will have fans amazed, following the collapse of his business with ex Charley Webb.

Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden, who played David Metcalfe in the ITV soap for 17 years, and Charley Webb, who took on the role of Debbie Dingle, confirmed that they had ended their marriage last November. Now, Matthew has started flogging items from the pair’s handmade children’s toy business, Nordi Babi, which collapsed after Charley was left with no time to run it.

Tapping into his potentially lucrative audience of almost 200,000 followers, he shared links to his eBay account on Instagram. Surprisingly, the 43-year-old has so far received feedback on the website just 68 times.

However, he’s now trying to harness the power of the auction site to offload items like wooden pull-along unicorns and polar bears, alongside toy kitchens and afternoon tea play sets. Other items up for grabs include neon signs featuring rainbows, unicorns and shooting stars that the former couple previously displayed in their home.

Matthew advertised the “next items to go for £8” on his Instagram Stories, against a backdrop of a night sky and shooting stars. Express.co.uk has contacted representatives for Matthew and Charley for comment.

The pair share three sons – Buster, 13, Bowie, seven, and Ace, four – so it’s perhaps little wonder that Charley developed a passion for handcrafted toys that could keep them entertained. Fans were treated to posts featuring her kids, including little Bowie channelling a product tester and trying out a chunky handmade camera painted in rainbow colours.

“Bowie enjoying his vintage style rainbow camera. Let them see the world through a kaleidoscope view, the best sort!” the post enthused.

Yet the shock closure of the company was announced last year, with the Instagram page not citing money worries, but instead a lack of time to keep it going.

“We’re Closing. We’ve loved this journey so much but we just don’t have the time to run it the way we want,” the farewell post read.

Viewers were then invited to join a closing down sale with dramatically slashed prices seeing items sold for just 60 percent of their original retail price.

The post concluded: “Thank you for your support, it’s been the most amazing journey with you all.”

The firm had been open for just three years, but Charley revealed that she’d loved the process of sourcing Scandinavian items, which had been a personal passion of hers.

Meanwhile, Charley and Matthew announced their separation on social media last November with near identical messages appearing on both actors’ accounts.

“It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate,” Charley’s post read.

“We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children. For their sake, we would appreciate privacy at this time.”
