Emmerdale spoilers: Make or break as Charity Dingle makes a final decision over ending things with Mack Boyd
It’s been a rocky road for Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) as she struggles with her PTSD in Emmerdale. Having stabbed Mack Boyd (Lawrence Robb) in the gut amidst a night terror, she’s not been doing too well.
She’s also kicked her entire family out of the house, meaning things are only getting worse, with Cain (Jeff Hordley) of all people desperately trying to get through to her.
Mack has also taken his turn at trying to get her to see sense, but she is convinced she’s a danger to everyone, and she desperately wants her space.
There is a lot going through Charity’s mind right now, but it’s a huge sigh of relief when she finally agrees to seek help.
In one sense is a great leap forward, in another, a lot more darkness will come to the fore.
She attends her first therapy session and is confronted by her abandonment issues. Her struggles are far, far from over, and her relationship with Mack is front and centre.
Later, when Mack is mindlessly chatting away to her, she can’t bear to listen anymore and without a word, leaves.
Mack is at a loss when he comes downstairs and finds that she’s gone.
But then it dawns on him; the problem is him. She asked for space, he didn’t give it, and now she is in another downwards spiral.
Mack heads out in search of his wife and is relieved to find her broken down car by the side of the road. But the relief is short-lived.
