Emmerdale Tom’s downfall ‘sealed’ after Belle abuse – and he will ‘regret it’
Emmerdale star Tom King has been emotionally abusing his wife Belle Dingle over recent months - now fans reckon they know which Dales resident will be making him pay
Emmerdale fans reckon Tom King is going to get what’s coming to him – but it’s not Belle Dingle who gets revenge.
The character, played by James Chase, rocked back up to the Dales last year, after a decade in Saudi Arabia. And it didn’t take long for him and former flame Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) to rekindle their romance.
So much so, that earlier this year, the pair tried the knot. However, viewers have seen the son of villainous Carl King emotionally abuse Belle over recent months.
Along with belittling her choices and undermining her, he criticised her wedding dress choice and effectively guilted her into marrying him. And after their nuptials, and on their wedding night, Tom lashed out at Belle.
What’s more, the soap has confirmed it will explore coercive control and domestic abuse in the new dark storyline. And over in the Dales this week, Tom has continued with his mind games.
Now, fans are certain Tom’s days in the village are numbered – especially if his abuse comes to light. And while some reckon Belle could get her revenge, others reckon it could be her half-brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).
Over on X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “I honestly hope Cain finds out about Tom eventually coz it will be epic he needs a slap.” Someone else replied: “Cain will tear him limb from limb.”
A third chimed in and penned: “Tom is such an a*****e bell deserves better can’t wait for everyone to find out and cain and the rest of them to make ton regret it.” Another agreed: “Tom needs to meet with Cain…”
A fifth added: “I honestly hope Cain finds out about Tom eventually.” While a sixth quipped: “Watch out Tom you don’t want to mess with the Dingles.”
Meanwhile, Daily Star asked Google’s AI tool Gemini for potential theories. It said: “Cain is known for being protective of his family and has a history of resorting to violence when he feels they are threatened. He has even served time in prison for past actions.”
However it also suggested: “The narrative might focus on Belle recognising the abuse and finding the strength to leave Tom or expose his behaviour. The show might explore the possibility of Tom changing his behaviour and seeking help.”
