Emmerdale fans rumble exit for Dales icon – but fans want someone else booted
Emmerdale’s Charity has been struggling in the Dales recently and now fans reckon she’ll be saying her goodbyes - but they would rather it was someone else on the soap
Emmerdale fans are certain that a soap icon will be saying their goodbyes to the Dales – and they are not too happy.
Over in the famous Yorkshire village recently, Charity (Emma Atkins) has been struggling with her mental health suffering from hallucinations and paranoia. The character stabbed Mack (Lawrence Robb) after thinking it was Damon Harris – who she had shot dead weeks prior.
Fans will recall how Damon kidnapped Mack and tortured him after he cheated on his daughter Chloe. Luckily for Mack, Charity saved him by shooting Damon.
Since then, she’s been plagued with flashbacks by her actions. And things took a harrowing turn when she stabbed Mack – causing him to end up in hospital.
And during Tuesday’s episode (February 27) Charity was still struggling. And when Mack went to visit her to insist he still wanted to be with her, she shut him down – sparking fears amongst her family that she was not doing ok.
Now viewers think she will be leaving the soap following all the drama. On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “It’s not looking good for Charity. Shooting Harry – stabbing Mack.
“I wonder if she’ll get sectioned as opposed to going down?” They added. Someone else penned: “How long until Charity goes to Ireland again?” Someone else wrote: “Surely the best thing is to get Charity sectioned and the help she needs…. Instead of letting a very mentally unstable woman dictate the situation…!
However, other fans would rather Mack say his goodbyes to the soap. A viewer wrote: “Mack does need to go, they’ve fucked Charity’s character up since they put her with him.”
Another wrote: “Can he just leave now?” A third penned: “Set charity free. Please make him leave forever.” ”
The Woolpack barmaid has been having hallucinations of Harry and kept a knife next to her for protection. Last week Mackenzie found Charity having a nightmare and attempted to wake her up. But a terrified and confused Charity stabbed Mack believing he was attacking her. Mackenzie was rushed to hospital and Charity was arrested.
