Emmerdale spoilers: Cain Dingle unexpectedly attacked in Ruby and Caleb Milligan fight
Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) isn’t doing too well lately when it comes to violent altercations with his nearest and dearest.
Aaron (Danny Miller) tried to knock seven bells out of him and left him with a nasty head injury he nearly didn’t wake up from, and now he faces another vicious outburst from a family member in Emmerdale.
Calling Ruby ‘family’ is a stretch, given that Caleb (Will Ash) had been planning to divorce her. But she’d fit right in with the Dingle clan with the beating she gives Cain.
But before Ruby gets stuck into Cain, the Dingles have something else to contend with.
Despite still processing Chas’ (Lucy Pargeter) cancer diagnosis, Chas reveals that her cancer is the result of a faulty BRCA2 gene, which means that Cain, Caleb, and Aaron are all at risk of having it too.
And not only that, but there’s also a high risk they’ll pass it on to their children.
This floors the family and Chas tries to convince Aaron to get checked, but Aaron is ever the avoidant and doesn’t do what he’s asked.
Nosy Ruby earwigs on conversations about the BRCA2 gene in the Woolpack and demands Caleb fill her in on what’s going on. He’s evasive, and it triggers a row between them.
Tensions build as their fight escalates. Snapping into action to stop the drama in its tracks, Cain steps in to intervene.
Ruby does not take kindly to the interference and turns her fury on Cain – sending her knee sharply into his groin.
That’s one way to stop him passing the gene on to anymore children.
Her actions will certainly not endear her to her wedded family, can they use this to get rid of her?
