‘So unrealistic!’ fume Emmerdale fans as they call out ‘ridiculous’ blunder with Belle Dingle’s wedding

EMMERDALE fans have called out a ‘ridiculous’ blunder with Belle Dingle’s wedding.
The character – played by Eden Taylor-Draper – tied the knot with Tom King last week.
The road to the wedding day did not run smooth for the couple, nor did the wedding night after Tom took advantage of his wife and then made her sleep on the sofa alone.
However, some Emmerdale viewers had more of an issue with the guest list for the nuptials.
While Belle had Mandy and Lydia Dingle as bridesmaids, and Sam and Cain in the main wedding party, many felt two key family members were missing from proceedings.
Taking to Reddit, one raged: “So unrealistic that half the Dingles were missing from the wedding party!
“No way would Charity and Chas have missed it Belle has always been the baby of the family with them and they adore her.
“Marlon would definitely have been there no matter what was going on at home and Moira’s excuse was pathetic when Belle is Cain’s sister.
“With Lisa having died and Zak not there (I know he has sadly passed away irl) the Dingles of old would have moved heaven and earth to support Belle.”
Another added: “Yes it was grating that both Charity and Chaz were not there. They could have filmed a couple of insert scenes or something.”
A third commented: “I found it very ridiculous how Cain was on the phone to Moira a couple of times and she continued to have some weird excuses why she had to miss the wedding lol.”
But another viewer defended the decision to not include every member of the Dingle family, writing: “We know set piece events require a lot of time to film with most cast sitting twiddling their thumbs most of the time so the likes of Charity, Chas, Moira and even Marlon being missing was either because they had time off or were needed filming elsewhere as the schedule will be pretty relentless.”
Meanwhile, other fans were taken aback to learn Belle’s real name during the wedding vows.
Tom said: “I Thomas King, take you TinkerBelle Lisa Dingle to be my wife.”
The name prompted newcomer Ruby Fox-Milligan to burst out laughing from the pews, causing everyone to look.
When Belle’s name was repeated as she said her vows, Ruby laughed again and said it “never gets old”.
Emmerdale viewers were equally taken aback by Belle’s real name, with one writing on social media: “What? No one realised Belle’s real name was Tinkerbelle? What with the Dingles’ naming of people.”
A third commented: “Never knew her name was Tinkerbelle.”
